SOLJA, Government & Judiciary reach understanding to address Media concerns
SOLJA Chairman Mr. Mahamoud Abdi Jama has told the media that the government and the country’s judiciary have accepted to listen to the concerns of the media and address them accordingly.
SOLJA chair, Mr. Mahamoud told the media that SOLJA, the government and the country’s judiciary discussed issues between them in a meeting held at presidency and that they have come to an arrangement of solving those issues.
“this meeting was very crucial in putting forward the problems and impediments the media face while performing their duties, at the same time the government and the country’s judiciary shared their complaints and concerns of the media, the government and the judiciary both agreed to start removing the barriers and the problems the press faced from their side and the press will start address the complaints and concerns aired by the government” said SOLJA chairman.
“ SOLJA has been working to organize a meeting likes this for a very longtime, and we will have another meeting like this, I am glad that the government agreed to listen and address the many barriers the media from government institutions, I urge and encourage the different media in this country to listen and address the concerns of the government and respect the outcome of this agreement” said SOLJA Chair
