SOLJA Met Adam Smith International Team

On Tuesday, 24 May SOLJA Organization members had a meeting with Adam Smith International Team

working in Somaliland.

To start with, the SOLJA Chairman Mohamud Abdi Jama have in depth discussed the current situation of

Media, the successes accomplished by SOLJA for Media development sector in Somaliland. He also welcomes this team to give attention to SOLJA and start cooperation with this organization.

Later on, the Executive Director of SOLJA Yahye Mohamed have also impressed the importance of this

cooperation and have thanked how the ASI are ready to respond the needs of the country in terms of

Election support and democracy growth encouragement a

Apart from the SOLJA Leaders, the Adam smith International organization delegation consisting of Four

individuals, Andy Hill, Bruce, Abdikadir Askar and Saeed Hussein. Have all appreciated the work of

SOLJA and they have promised they will work with SOLJA in terms of building the journalists

specifically when it comes to election and producing a code of conduct was also the well-agreed agenda.

Andy hill who is communication advisor at ASI have long explained the areas that SOLJA and ASI will

work together, when it will begin and also how to make this tasks achieved in order to enhance the Media

development and nation-wide progress at the end.

To cut the long story short, it was an enlightening meeting between the two organization and they have

agreed the next stage of starting the cooperation after a while and will update each other soon.
